Happy Holidays

I am getting a bit anxious about the holidays. All the purchases and preparations have been in place for weeks. Now I'm excited to see the family open the gifts and do the whole christmas tradition thing.

Christmas evening we'll be celebrating with my mom and going to midnight mass. That's always a good celebration especially when we go early and watch the pageant.

That depends on the church we go to...... one church has a great mass and terrific choir, but no pageant. Another church has a good pageant and fairly good choir but the church gets so packed with people, it becomes difficult to breathe.
Afterwards, we'll be going back to moms for a bit and then return home to a chilled bottle of wine and some last minute stuff.

This year I'm not wearing my santa hat to church but might wear a fuzzy red scrunchie instead. Maybe with dangly things.
That can be my last minute thing to do - finding just the right hair accessory.

Just remembered I was going to try and make a new signature doll. I've been looking around and some of the doll creators are really creative and talented.
Maybe I should just ask one of them to make me one

I'm all alone !!!

Hubby is at the mall with our son........after making a very secretive phone call to our daughter who is visiting her boyfriend.

I think they are Christmas shopping for me, AGAIN !!! I already finished all my shopping and the area under the tree is stacked full of presents. I think we've gone overboard again this year.

One of the items I purchased for my husband, was something I have wanted to get for him since last year (or the year before).
It's frivolous, opulent and only marginally useful. All three of the gifts I bought for him so far, can be described this way.
I hope he likes them !

I took my time and shopped during sales sprees, so I managed to spend a fraction of the retail value for everything.

I do this every year but this year I feel like I should buy more. How crazy is that? I save money to buy more stuff !!!
Weird thing is - I consider myself a non shopper.

TSF Christmas

I'm just so tired today.
I was browsing all the nice things to adopt and just can't seem to concentrate on anything.

I worked on my book for a few hours last night and again this morning. I'm very pleased with the way it's progressing.

I need to get back to work. Maybe after I take a break and watch a little television.
I think I need a nap.
